Re: A Few SVRy Favorite Photos

Sumpter Valley is an excellent venue for steam photography. I've been there probably half a dozen times, most recently in 2018. It is a bit remote with regard to hotels and restaurants, as we've discussed here before, but the photography there is just awesome......easily in the same league with other places that advertise annual photo events. They have a great selection of rolling stock, unique scenery and weather that runs the gamut. They also have a great group of people. The sunrise there is just awesome.



The railroad is 2 hours from Boise. I can make a long weekend out of their Fall Photo Event. Hopefully, they will be able to resolve some of the difficulties they have been facing recently. I look forward to getting back there.
