El Coke,
Glad you enjoyed your ride on the Loop. You may or may not have noticed a young man doning a white shirt come over to where you and John Hammond were talking, next to CHS's "Crystal Palace". That was me, coming over to see what was being discussed. I did not introduce myself, as I didn't want to interrupt your conversation.
What exactly happened when the Extra suddenly stopped departing the Silver Plume Depot to pick you up? I was expecting that we stopped to pick some last minute late passengers, but was surprised to hear that we had picked up John Coker.
Hope you enjoyed your ride on #14. That engine fires like a dream! (I was given beginning firing lessons on it Sunday by Phil Reader). #40 also fires rather well, but still not as well as 14!
