Gents,
Many failfans and modelers seem to have a great fascination with MOW stuff. However, comma, my modeling sense seems to preclude them as: (1) I've never felt compeled to model and entire MOW consist (2) most of the MOW gear I have seems destined only for storage tracks or displays and not for general running.
So, I was wondering what general types of MOW cars might be more often seen "in transit" with regular freights versus stricly MOW operations? (prestaging for operaitons, ballast cars, headed for repairs, etc.) And if so, were they lashed in behind the loco or perhaps instead ahead of the caboose?
