From what I have heard/know, MacCaslin was very well connected to a lot of people in Colorado, the museum, and narrow gauge country in general. He put together an amazing collection, I even own some pieces from the MacCaslin collection. I know a lot of you won't agree with my opinion, but I am glad to see it has survived and it's nice to see it surface for sale again. In full disclosure I own Western Railroad Americana and I am currently the high bidder on the plate. The private collector plays a large role in the survival of some amazing narrow gauge artifacts out there and I am thankful for the opportunity I have had to handle and see them over the years.
