The turntable is the original B&SR / B&H bridge that went to Edaville in 1946 and then came back to Maine in 1992 with most of the two-foot equipment. It was never used in Portland so it's been about 30 years since it's been in service. The turntable is in line with the original mainline, being part of the curve where the track crossed the Alna Road. The 90' of track north of the turntable will be for switching options for now but will be of help when (and if) we decide to continue building north. Expansion toward Head Tide village is a possibility but there are no plans to do so in the next few years.
