My dad had a car very much like that one in the late 1940's. IIRC, it was a Chrysler — black, not yellow, but otherwise about the same size and also shaped like a giant beetle. I have vague memories of migrating in it from Connecticut to California in 1946, and staying in a little cabin at the motel that still exists next to the river on the east side of Pagosa Springs.

IMHO, the C&TS should letter at least one engine using the same typeface as on 1320's tender!!
