I googled CR Savage and came up with this excellent link and biography. [
lib.byu.edu] Then noodling around their digital photo library by searching “railroad” came up with exceptional Jackson views, many that I hadn’t seen before. Here’s a couple, with their reference numbers. “Bridge in Animas Canyon” with a question mark for which State it’s in is the Silverton Branch, “Los Pinos Valley Looking East” which looks to be above the east portal of the Rock Tunnel, and “Cumbres Mountain, Pinos Chama Divide” is Windy Point.
The university could possibly use some cataloguing geography help from members of this group. Other Rio Grande shots are Black Canyon, Veta Pass and Royal Gorge in Narrow Gauge days, numerous Platte canyon, Clear Creek and Chalk Creek South Park scenes, Colorado Midland views etc etc.
They seem to have boxes of CR Savage photos in various sizes, but I’ll blame my hurried searching skills that couldn’t find a detailed catalogue of them. I don’t believe they’re digitized, but wonder if your SVRR shots are among them, plus possibly others. It wouldn’t make sense for a photographer to venture all the way to Oregon and only take four photos, so there’s a possibility that others are there - or the university doesn’t have your shots in their collection.
