We are making good headway on the restoration of NCNGRR Engine #5/Tahoe with the setup of the straight air brakes for the engine and tender. As all the major components of the engine are being applied, we now are beginning the piping of the back head. We expect to do our first hydrostatic test by March and begin insulating the boiler and putting on the boiler jacket by the April/May time frame. Our goal is to attend the NSRM 50th anniversary over the 4th of July celebration there and have Tahoe run with her sister engine Glenbrook, who have been separated for 81 years now since Tahoe went to Universal Studios to do her movie career stint for 45 years. Looking forward to seeing our fellow narrow gauger's there!
