Sorting thru photos that have been in the file for 30 or 40 years, I came across a couple of impressive photos that Milwaukee Road roundhouse employee and rail fan Wade Stevenson used for his annual Christmas card. Wade worked for the Milwaukee Road in Othello, Washington, and occasionally he would come to my movie/slide evenings in Richland, WA, and show some of his unique slides. Here are a couple of scenes, not narrow gauge, but I think impressive nonetheless.
Milwaukee F7 4-6-4 No. 104 backing from the Minneapolis roundhouse to the depot
Milwaukee S-1 4-8-4 no. 250 pulling advance train 264 eastbound out of Othello, Washington in 1951 (?). 250 was built by Baldwin in January 1930 for passenger service, working the non-electrified gap between Othello, Washington and Avery, Idaho.
