Civilian Conservation Corps. They managed brush and built things on National Parks lands during the recovery from the great depression in the 1930s and into the early 40s. Part of the New Deal of FDR to get people back to work. CCC crews used to move throughout the west on special trains. The D&RGW had some bare bones coaches they used for this service. Several specials were run on the RGS, one was well photographed by Otto Perry. See the link below.
