That type of plow is smaller than a wood beam pilot plow like the 487's. I have always like this type better--kind of dynamic looking it uses the steel pilot beam which you can see through the plow itself. 493 had one for a long time near the end of operations. Earl might be able to articulate this better than me since I know he has done so on this list before. Hope this helps.
