In my personal opinion, the #252 idea was probably a bit over ambitious. It was something that would have come after completing the extension of the railroad down the valley along the lake to Union Cr. Campground. Funding for the extension did not materialize as hoped. As to #20, again only my opinion, it may happen in time, and has a much higher probability of happening than the recreated engine and the extension. #20 is in no worse condition than many engines that have been restored. Supposedly, the boiler is better than 19's. The running gear is pretty rough and it needs new tires. It will need a new tender tank and oil bunker. None of its jewelry has survived, or at least we don't have it. 19's original bell was a surprise donation a few years ago, so anything is possible. #20 would need an atomizer for oil burning, new injectors, water glasses, dynamo and head lights, complete brake system etc.
