More about Colorado colors. Took a quick trip to Ridgway this past weekend to see Karl Schaeffer and crew run Goose 1,4 and the replica inspection car. Great visit. Going up the Million Dollar Highway between Ouray and Red Mountain pass the aspen colors were spectacular. Fall colors are always great but the stretch by Albany and Ironton were the best we had ever seen. That's with over 50 years of "leaf peeping" in Colorado and New Mexico.
Bordered on mind boggling. If I can get the pictures off my wife's cell phone, I'll post some. Sort of NG railroad related as the Silverton Railroad did run close by the trees.
