Thanks Kevin and Randy and everyone else who came out for the trips. My intention is for everyone who goes with us to be safe, have fun, and hopefully get some good photos/video/audio. If we can do that successfully, I'll take the stress that comes with the cat herding! My voice is recovering, so that's good.
Don't heap all of the thanks on me alone however. It's a team from the people who help get everyone on and off the train safely, Jim Wrinn for setting it up, Mike Allen and Ron Burkhard for these trips for assisting where possible in setting lines, etc., and of course, all the railroad and engine crews for juggling our trip on top of the regular schedule. Just because I got to be the one with the loud voice and siren, there's a lot of people in the background and I simply couldn't do it without them!
It was a lot of fun, and I'm pretty sure we've found a new spot at Cumbres for an afternoon eastbound that will get lots of use in the future. Photos to follow...eventually!
