From what i saw Friday, it will look like every other NEW McD's. I get the thing about modernizing the drive through and maybe that's a factor. The building was designed in another era. However, despite railfan complaints, the old building was attractive and attempted to blend with its surroundings. I suspect it was built in a time where McD's Corp wanted that. Obviously that's over and I would be concerned for other McD's buildings that are attractive and built years ago.
I will be one of the few that admits they occasionally eat and LIKE some McD's food. Their fries are the best fast food fries out there in my opinion and a warm sausage Mcmuffin on a cold day before taking pics at the Durango depot is great. While I prefer a flame broiled Whopper, a Big Mac when you are hungry and need a quick meal tastes pretty good. I guess I'm one of the few despite the fact McD's are everywhere.
