On that last photo of the coal tipple you can see the brown telephone pole and header put there years ago to help arrest the leaning of the tipple. When John Sutkus and his team started fixing the lean and put in a concrete grade beam the tipple was resting on that 8"X12" header directly 'WITHOUT' those wedge blocks. You can now clearly see how much the lean has been corrected over the last 6 or more years by gradually straightening up the lean. Now the structure is plumb except the lean of the top sheve house at the top that has taken a permanent lean over the decades.
This is sure graphic evidence of how bad the lean used to be.
