As for the OP's picture, I can say that I strongly disagree with this tank being the ex 462's tender. There are many differences between the two, and I have searched all my pictures multiple times trying to find the origination of the tank.
I am not sure where this tank came from, but it does closely resemble a K-27 tank. There may be a problem with this tank being modified after it sat behind a K-27 that changes the small details. For it to be 462's tender, however, it would have to have been completely rebuilt sides and all. I think I need to go back and look at the tenders again, assuming the small details have changed.
If you know for a fact that this is 462's tender, please post your evidence. I do not have the resources available that you do, but there are too many major differences in the tank body for me to believe this came from the 462....
