No doubt my favorite is the CRRM 346. Admittedly, my one and only locomotive hands on live experience.
Was there for the first steam up, tested and approved by Dick Cooper, for firing and running the old girl.
Before that Chris Ahrens and I took everything apart and 'fixed' what we could. It sure was a learning
experience while we both were in High School and after. Once I crawled along the flues to the front
flue sheet when the steam dome top and throttle box were removed which I'd never do again. It ended
when work in Boulder, overtime there and a new wife consumed most of my time.
