Lodging including camping is filling up

I have started reserving lodging for this trip myself. If you haven't started, you had better start.

I am renting a Tahoe (I hope!) in ABQ and camping at Ponderosa Campground 8/25-27 for the Antonito departures. It is fully booked for those days as of last week. I was planning on camping in Chama at the Rio Chama on the North End during the weekend of 8/27-30 only to be told that while they have space, no showers or flush toilets will be available per order of the New Mexico Governor. I can't go 3 days without a shower! So i found a hotel room with some difficulty for the weekend. The campground HOPES the order will be lifted by the end of June, but who knows if that will happen since the politicians seem to love controlling us.

After that weekend, I'm back at the Ponderosa for the RGS 20 trip and they do still have some space for those days.

Even campgrounds are full with all of the people camping these days in the peak season. Don't delay!
