Yesterday May 1st and today, May 2nd have been SVRR's annual on site safety training. I attended May 1 and took a few photos. Training was outside in small groups with social distancing. There was also a board of directors meeting scheduled for evening at Sumpter. The WH Eccles #3 Heisler was pushed outside and fired up with the idea of taking the passenger consist up to Sumpter along with any volunteers that wanted to ride to attend the meeting. It was to be the preseason shakedown run for #3, but it was found that the steam dome cover was leaking too much to make the run. I believe it was to be fixed and another test run scheduled for May 2nd. As a result yesterday, #720 50 ton GE diesel was used for training of coupling, uncoupling, terminal air brake test practice and later the run to Sumpter.
