I've always been fascinated with the Franklin Junction area, thanks for sharing and I'm glad to see you're getting out there and learning the history. Presumably, it was named after George Franklin who started the Boston Coal & Fuel Company railroad that Looped its way north up the hill from the Triangle Coal mine spurs. [www.google.com]
