That was the day we all hiked across High Bridge to try to find a better shot on the other side(South end). The train slowed for passengers to get a good view of the Kentucky River way down below, so the action was tepid from the engine and we wound up shooting track level at the end of the bridge, cause there was no higher ground over there. There are girders on both sides of the double-track, that are about 3-4 feet high. It forms a walk-way and there is a handrail of steel tubing. I was carrying a movie camera, tripod, and 35mm, and one hand for the handrail. At one point a section of the tubing moved, and I was mucho scared! I don't like heights to start with and this was the untimate high spot. When it was all said and done the shot was anticlimactic, and we were stupid for crossing the bridge. Also it was a hot day!!! If you want to see your trip its in one of our "2839 A Royal Farewell Videos". I forget off hand which has the Cincinnati Trips. Check the website under Eastern Steam. I liked that engine, and shot the first and last runs to Atlanta and back to Alexandria. Some nice fast running.Greg
