Unless you are looking for more info, the 04990 was a long caboose converted from box 4990 around the turn of the century. The 04343 was also a former boxcar converted around the same time. Apparently the D&RG was going through a shortage of cabooses for a while. They get smashed up pretty easy with those wooden frames. Hope that was the info you needed.
