Happy Birthday Engine 40!

Today was a dual celebration at the Georgetown Loop. Today we celebrated 40's 100th Birthday, having been built in September 1920, as well as International Talk Like a Pirate Day. The shop crew and myself threw together a little celebration for us, as well as those riding today. With 2020 as difficult as it has been, it was nice to have a little light hearted fun to lift everyone's mood. Hard to imagine such a seemingly modern engine as 40 turning 100 years old.
And yes, 40 did indeed "eat" her cake...and the candles....and the tray it was on. Fun fact, chocolate cake burns in a flash at 1300 degrees.
