Ernie Robart showed me the location, but he hadn't been in there for a number of years. We turned off the road too far to the east, and had to cross several hundred yards of that rock slide. I took my time on those loose rocks, and lost sight of Ernie. Then he reappeared to check on me. Then disappeared/ reappeared I don't know how many times as I slowly picked my way. (I had a tripod and camera over each shoulder.) Ernie sure could scamper. Coming back out I paid attention, especially when we got to the road. (And noted the distinctive dead tree.)
I found out later that the location is rather well known, but I hadn't seen any photos from there before. So I started to refer to it as "Robart's Ridge."
