If you are in the Durango/Four Corners area and looking for model railroad scenery, or maybe looking to get some two-rail O scale track (doubt anyone here in the four corners area would but still), You can salvage said items from Duane Danielson’s huge O scale model railroad. Duane has sold his house, and the new owners did not want the railroad, so this week a few others among myself will be completely dismantling it. To get an idea of what there is to offer and the scope of how large the railroad is, here’s a video of the railroad when it was complete a few years ago showing a lot of it:
(Video may not play embedded here on the forum correctly as YouTube has set it as a video for kids)
Everything that remains of his railroad this week is going to the dump unless spoken for by this Friday. I can provide Duane’s contact info and address via private message if anyone is interested, spread the word around if someone else you may know would be interested. I don’t think we can ship any of this, if you want it, come and get it.
Remaining abutments for two high bridges.
Larry Rardin and his assistant Brian cutting away at some benchwork.
Remaining sections of trees and other scenery that will be preserved until the end of the week, Just today Martin Pirnat of the NMRA Silver San Juan Division took some trees for his HOn3 layout.
