Just some more information about this line: my parents owned in the middle point (Le Sépey) a huge old Chalet that was built in 1689. As a kid I spent most holidays there(the only place I could setup my Märklin model trains). In winter we went skiing there. I took the little train many, many times. I still have the special odor, the noise, etc. in memory. It was in danger of being abandoned in the late 1990 - but it survived, was modernized, and operates still on a daily basis with modern equipment. But they restored one of the railcards to be used for tourist trains.
