I don't comment much but I love to watch them.
I love seeing the equipment on the Loop. I can only dream that the 44 or another chunky 2-8-0 will fill out the roster with the 40 and 111. The Loop needs some down time to work on the Rod Locomotives when things get fired back up to two trains a day. A spare, servicable locomotive is always a godsend, and having one in reserve while servicing/rebuilding a fourth one is a true luxury. Only time will tell, but if you add up the miles and stops and all day on that 4% grade, those locomotives get as much of a workout and miles run as the K's in Chama. Besides, I always liked the idea that they can burn used Motor Oil instead of dumping the stuff into the ground.
Till then, I will keep watching your videos and remembering my time up there.
