It was nearly a flat railroad except for the line up to the center of Oahu Island.

Commuter train would have one carrying civilian employees between Pearl Harbor and the Honolulu depot during WWII.

The freight trains were photographed along the double track line between Honolulu and the Pearl Harbor area. The double track had automatic block signals.
