At least you used a tie. Last time I had to pole a car the best we could find was a pressure treated 4x4. 2AM and against a MT hopper in the dark. Hopper bound up in the switch and broke the 'pole'. At least I had the CDR get well clear before I started shoving. Turned out the MT was 1/4 full of stone, but that gave me enough weight to bang the corner good with the pilot to get it moving again without derailing. Ah, the things we do to get out of the yard....
