While 474 was the regular CB branch engine for many years, it was not the only K-28 on the branch. 472 and 479 were often used as helpers while the Shavano was on a layover at Gunnison. Earlier, 476 seems to have been on the branch for a while. I have a photo of 476 at the Crested Butte depot.

February 9, 1932
Crested Butte Branch Rotary OO with engines 319 and 476.

On February 11, 1932, engine 476 derailed on west end of wye at Crested Butte.
