I disagree. The growth at many of those railroads show the market isn't limited the way people think it is. There is still room for everyone to grow. The number of people in Colorado is only growing. Competition won't hurt any railroad i don't think....it only makes each railroad come up with new ideas to attract customers.
The loop last year halued 195,000 people. Yes Durango was impacted by a big shutdown, but the year before the loop hauled 186,000. Our ridership is only growing. More people are here now. So the market is bigger. I don't believe another tourist railroad or two will upset that balance
Also I'm speaking this as an individual who works in the field. Not on behalf of any group
