Riding in Caboose 0500

I chartered the 0500 back in June 2005...It was an awesome trip with K-28's 473 and 478 doubleheading...This was the trip that 478 broke and we had to leave her at Cascade...The diesel had to rescue us and was added to the point of 473 into Silverton...This was a long fun day for us but, not for the train crews...All the trains were held at Silverton for us and everyone headed back late with us delaying all the trains...I called back in 2010 to charter the 0500 again but it was moved to the Museum and needed repair...I miss that Caboose.
