Thanks for the write up!

Here are some educational photos taken the day that the boiler was lifted off of the frame, 6/15/2007.

Standing on the left hand rail, looking forward. Note the gap between the blind driver, and the frame.

Linn eyeballs the gap between the right blind driver and the frame.

Now look along the length of the side rods from the #1 to the #3 driver. They are supposed to be in a straight line.

It wasn't that she had too much lateral, the main driver's journal boxes were just set up out of line to the left. CRRM said that she was always derailing on left hand curves, no wonder. But how did the RGS get a sucessful trip out of her?
