Caboose 0505 is in line for work someday, and there is indeed a plan. But as Jerry said the present situation has forced us to adapt and re-arrange or delay some projects. The car looks worse than it is, and will eventually be earning its keep again. All we need is time, money, and more time. With a car fleet as large as this one, finding time (as in labor and time in the shop) is the biggest challenge.

The RR needs a second operating caboose, and the 0500, 0505 and 0540 are very much integral to the Silverton Branch. They belong here. But passenger (revenue) equipment gets first priority, and we slip the rest in whenever possible.
