Struggle to keep steam alive seems universal.
CHS seems to believe they have a better idea of how to operate a mountain railroad than the people that have been doing it successfully since 1973. CHS has changed people countless times since 1973, while the Loop operators have persistently remained.
I have worked there since 1996 and attest that Georgetown Loop operators are some of the best people I have ever met and worked for. Hopefully things work out. I'm hoping CHS gets some input from people that understand railroading before CHS makes a complete mess of this. I don't have CHS contact info - perhaps somebody here does?
