You’re darn right we’re good looking Bill, but the Americans have way better fireworks. When our kids were young we used to spend July 1 either at home or somewhere else in Canada, but made sure to be in the States by the 4th. I remember in 1986 we had ridden the Katahdin Steamship on Moosehead Lake in Maine, and were at some little cabins nearby for the night. Our fireworks are all colourful showers and sparkles, but the ones we saw that night had those loud, deep BOOMS that shake you right to the bone. First time we’d heard them. The girls were scared at first but soon loved them. And it’s hard to beat Lake George NY or Stone Mtn in Georgia on the Fourth! IIR, both those places had fireworks on days each side of the 4th as well - Awesome.....
Looking forward to traveling again,
Ralph
