Understood. Should have said dining car and not just the generic term railway, because the hotels were railway-owned. However the link I posted specifically says the piece was dining car, as do auction sites I’ve seen, and I’ve just learned that these are not correct.
I guess I’m more familiar with CPR chinaware, where the distinction of end use is important. The dining car pieces usually have a higher relative value than the hotels, with steamship patterns somewhere in the middle.
