Mechanical Lubricator, GL RR #40

It's hell getting older - night vision isn't so good anymore, ya know. They just finished repairing our shop lights at Silver Plume, as well as plumbing in the mechanical lubricator on left side of #40 to feed the air pump. Lo and behold, now that there is light on the south side of #40 I see that there is also an air cylinder to operate the machanical from engine air, rather than a linkage to the valve gear as I had surmised. Well, black engines in a dark shed? Anyway, I am wearing egg on my face now that I made a big deal about soon having to go out and hand-crank the mechanical when engine is sitting still. As Homer S. would say ..... "DOH!!!"
