I was really tickled to see the photos of tie shipments heading for the EBT and the rebuilding of all those yard switches. These folks are really getting with the program.

Has it been common on narrow gauge lines like the D&RGW to use longer ties on the mainline and shorter ones in the yard like was apparently done on the EBT? And what are the D&S and C&TS doing these days?
