George Shaffer was brought down from Bell Lime Quarry Tuesday, badly injured by a premature explosion. Mr. Shaffer suffered the loss of his left hand, while his head and face was badly bruised. He was taken to Mercy Hospital.

Tony Perees was blown up yesterday afternoon while tamping a hole at Bell’s Quarry, near Rockwood. Mr. Bell brought the wounded man to Mercy hospital, where Dr. Lackey found him quite seriously shot up in the face and eyes. It will require a day or more to fathom extent of injuries
