The D&S stores some covered passenger cars on a spur at Tall Timbers. The switch of the spur is on the north side. The D&S train that day was a work train with a clearance template attached to a flat car. The train picked up the passenger cars at Tall Timbers and took them to Silverton to turn on the wye as a tonnage test train. The covered cars were brought to the Durango yard the next day.
