Is there any evidence that the present day "Kahuku" is indeed the same "Kahuku" shown on BLW spec sheet? It might be one of any of the engines. Old Norman Clark named all his engines from where they worked, not their historic names. Kahuku originally came from Kahuku Plantation - hence the name. I think he bought it from the Cliff House in San Francisco, where it was a display piece. Kahuku was cuter name than "Cliff House" or "San Francisco". Besides the latter two names wouldn't have fit on the cab.....
