Jay,
Regardless of all the good services you can provide with cookie information, the cookie by application is basically a clandestine process in that you install a file on my computer hard drive without my knowledge or approval...and so I block it. When I want a cookie file on my hard drive I, rather than you, will put it there or at least approve its being there. It's that simple regardles of what I may or may not understand regarding the utility of cookies.
