Folks from The Friends can probably comment in more detail on the histories of the cars and whether or not they retain their original numbers. I am just assuming so, but they would have the final word:
Behind OY..... The Aux Water Car is a old oil tank car (DRGW 0472), which was long ago re-purposed as an auxiliary water car for OY. As you noted, the power was K-36 Locomotives, #s 487 and 484. Behind the locomotives was the OY Outfit Cook Car (DRGW 053) and Section Bunk/Camp Car (DRGW 04258) and Caboose (DRGW 0306). The outfit was the same both days.
The Cook Car that you refer to was restored by the Friends about 5 years ago. It sits on freight trucks and apparently that is authentic to the way it actually ran, at least in the latter DRGW era.
