Re: D&RGW 3000 series boxcar in HOn3

Here is my attempt at a Rail line 3000 series boxcar kit;


I bought this kit at Caboose Hobbies over 20 years ago on my way back home from a day trip to Alamosa, where I had purchased a full scale D&RGW 3000 series boxcar kit. The full size car was just a body, much like the Rail line kit's one piece carbody. Always figured the kit would get assembled into a boxcar long before the actual car (I originally had no plans to use the real car as anything but a shed), but life has a way of changing even the best laid plans.


I made allot more progress on the full scale boxcar kit, it has been back on trucks since 2002 and has been a mostly complete boxcar for the last 16 years. As for the HOn3 kit, it has become a reminder of a now long past day spent with a friend buying boxcars, so I doubt I will ever build it.
