I agree with Brian, Craig, and Will. The only way we are going to feel REALLY SAFE is when there is vaccine for everyone. Until then we are all rolling the dice. The alternative is for tourist railroads to get super creative and work out a way to maintain social distancing on their trains. Instead of 40 people per coach it might be 10 now. So think longer trains with less people. Instead of longer runs, there are twice as many shorter runs. For example it might be Antonito to Sublette or Big Horn without lunch. Morning and afternoon. Chama-Cumbres morning and afternoon. You may have to doublehead to pull 12 cars with 10 people each. But, that might be better than no business at all!!! D&S could run service from Silverton to Elk Park, or Silverton to Cascade. Durango to Rockwood, or Cascade. Shorter trips without food service, or box lunches. Food service is going to have to be very creative. Maybe folks will be given masks before boarding the train! Life as we know it before the virus, may never be the same, and until folks realize that, and get creative its not going to work! Just my 2 cents!
