NNG - 1744 Returns to California

Hi All,

Thought some of you might like to know the fate of SP 1744 - the engine is going to return home to California! PLA announced this morning that it had acquired the engine for the Niles Canyon Railway. A small crew was in Alamosa last week, loading loose parts, with the frame and boiler to follow soon. There's a long road ahead, but all of us in the Steam Department are glad we can offer the engine a good home, in a historically accurate setting. More details here:
