What's interesting is that I just got back from several places that have a reputation for being cold and snowy, and Maine was both colder and snowier. When I go to Chama this weekend for the rotary run, I am not even taking my battery-powered "Hot Socks." They are saying 25 degrees at night and 45 degrees during the day. I'm sure it will be colder in the high country, but then, we'll have comfy motor coaches in which to take refuge.

For the TRUE winter experience, come to Maine!
