I chased her last Sunday from Grosbeck, Tx to Hearn, Tx. There was a butt load of train watchers in every town and on the hiway. I had to do some rather creative driving to get in front of the pack so I could pace her a while.
I expect your comment about driving carefully is good advice. I doubt I was driving as freindly as I should have been. I noticed that when I passed some folks they did not hold up all of their fingers when they waved at me. Got some awful good pacing shots though.
I drove just under 600 miles that day and I live in the edge of West Texas. It was well worth my time and trouble to experiance that big hog in motion. I won't give up the narrow gauge but steam is steam and you have to enjoy that regardless of gauge.
